FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I get a false fresh tank reading when I short the pigtail wires with a wire?
OR
Why does my fresh tank read 1/3, Full, Full?
Since fresh water is different then gray and black water the sensitivity of the circuit board had to be adjusted. To properly “dry” test a fresh tank a 43 kilohm resistor need to be in your test jumper wire. This will simulate fresh water and should give you a correct reading.

What do C, G, F, and L stand for?
C is for Charge, G is for Good, F is for Fair and L is for Low battery condition.

How do I get to the circuit board on my monitor panel?

For the K panel get a small flat head screwdriver and put it into the slot at the top center of the monitor panel, just above the Fresh Full light and gently push down. This will release the clip and the faceplate with the circuit board attached will come off the bezel.

For the M panel (insert small pic here or link) take a flat head screwdriver and put it into the slot on the left side of the monitor panel, right by the indicator lights, twist the screw driver DO NOT PUSH as the lights are right by the slot and the screw driver could damage them. The faceplate with the circuit board attached will come off the bezel.

How do I change the circuit board?
Follow the steps in the question above to get access to the circuit board. Once that is done the circuit board is held to the faceplate via clips, simply unclip the circuit board and pop the new one in.

How can I test the Tank Pigtail?
The K101 is a resistor pack and should have the following resistances:
Red wire to Orange Wire – 0 ohms, Red wire to Green Wire – 68 Kohms and red wire to Yellow wire – 188 Kilaohms.
